JSH has one of the best-equipped laboratories with fully automated machines, well trained and skilled technical staff. We ensure the quality of our services is at the highest level and maintained as such throughout.
The Laboratory is headed by a Consultant Microbiologist/ Manager and each of the sections has a Senior Technologist supervising and a consultant Microbiologist reviewing all the results.
The Laboratory sections include :
- Biochemistry
- Basic chemistry:
Here we run basic chemistry tests such as liver function tests, renal function tests, water balance among others
- Special Chemistry
In this section, we perform specialized tests which include Immunochemistry, Endocrinology, drugs of abuse, therapeutic drugs and other rapid serology tests.
- Microbiology:
Culture and antimicrobial susceptibility testing for all body fluids including blood, CSFand biopsies
- Hematology:
Include full blood count and reticulocyte count
- Blood bank services:
We prepare different blood products which include whole blood, platelet concentrate, fresh frozen plasma, cryoprecipitate, and packed red cells.
